NEICMA

North East India Commerce and Management Association(NEICMA) is an academic forum of commerce and management educators working in colleges/Universities and Management institutes in the north eastern states of India.The registered office of the Association shall be located at the premises of the Department of Commerce, Gauhati University, Guwahati.     

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The aims and objectives of the Association are as follows:

  • to foster stronger relationship amongst the Commerce and Management teachers working in Colleges and Universities.
  • to promote/popularise Commerce and Management education and research across the North Eastern States through conducting seminars/conferences/workshops etc.
  • to provide necessary inputs for policy formulations at various levels of different state governments of North East India in the areas related to Trade/Commerce/Industry etc.
  • to interact with industry for greater benefits of North East Region.
  • to provide career guidance to commerce and management students of Universities and colleges.
  • to compile, maintain and up-date from time to time a directory of all the members of the Association.
  • to create and develop healthy cooperation, exchange of ideas and views amongst the members and alumni.
  • to institute prizes and awards for outstanding performance in the field of competition, project work, research papers and other professional activities by faculty, research scholars and students of Commerce and Management faculty in the region.
  • to act as goodwill ambassadors for Commerce and Management Education within North East India, India and abroad.

    To achieve the above objectives, the Association will undertake the following activities :
  • Organising annual conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia, etc. on vital issues so as to enrich the members in particular and Commerce and Management students of the region in general.
  • publishing books, Journals, Periodicals, Newsletter and other relevant documents and literature from time to time.
  • arranging lectures, panel discussions on topics connected with vital issues of the subject.
  • undertaking any other activity or activities for the fulfilment of the objectives of the association.

Membership:

The following shall be the eligibility criteria for membership of the Association:
Every Commerce and Management teacher working in any of the Colleges, Universities and Management Institutes is entitled to become a member of the Association provided s/he affirms to abide by the rules and regulations of the association, filling up of registration form and pays the necessary fees and subscriptions. Once enrolled, s/he will have voting rights.

  • Registration: A teacher entitled to become a member of the Association may apply for membership with a one-time registration fee of Rs.200/-.
  • Annual Member: Annual Members means members who contribute a sum of Rs. 500/- to the Association every year.
